John Eichten

John Eichten, Principal of Cherryfield Aviation Group, has over 35 years of commercial and business aviation experience specializing in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Technical Services Support. A highly respected member of the aviation community, he began his career as an A/P mechanic for Evergreen Air Center, was a Technical Writer in Engineering for Alaska Airlines, and then moved on to specialize in Technical Sales for aircraft storage and heavy maintenance supporting commercial and business aviation segments. John is known to be a dynamic and energetic leader, with excellent communication skills and a focus on building long-term relationships. John’s expertise spans the aviation industry, allowing him to provide guidance in key areas, including:

• Commercial aviation – technical sales and program oversight for MRO services supporting the commercial airline, lease returns and placements, heavy maintenance, and major modifications.
• Business aviation – technical sales and program oversight for pre-buys, MRO heavy maintenance, major interior green completions, and full interior refurbishments plus CMS upgrades. 
• Aviation Consulting – consulting and advisory services in supporting Part 121, 125, 135 and 145 initial certifications and overall operational assessments with a strong focus on safety culture and practices.

 A native of Chicago, John received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Aviation Maintenance and Management from Lewis University.
