The woods are selected from a log and a sample is matched by the designers to color match the fabrics, leathers and the wood sample. The wood veneer is then laid up to match the wood grain. Designers and Quality Control people then complete inspections of the veneer lay up. Prior to the wood veneer being permanently installed, a fit check of the monument is completed. Quality inspections are a continuous process. The final inspections are done prior to monument being installed into the aircraft and then again after it is installed. The benchmark for the level of quality is extremely high.
